Ball-like 1" clusters, May-June, not showy: both sexes on tree.

Fruit Details:
Tan-brown, 1" rounded single fruit: ripening in October and persisting into winter.

Exfoliating cream, olive, light brown with good winter color.

Disease / Insect Problems or Resistance:
Most resistant to mildew of species.

Native Habitat:
Native in Europe, Canada and US. First record of tree in 1663.

Other Features:
In native situation along water is impressive in landscape.

Culture and Care:
Easily transplanted; prefers deep, rich, moist, well-drained soil but will grow in anything.
